The Czech Cubism Foundation took part in the II. Central Bohemian Tourism Conference organized by the Central Bohemian regional authority. The aim of the conference was to identify and initiate further opportunities of tourist trade development in the Central Bohemian Region using the support of EU Structural Funds. The chairwoman of the board of directors of the Czech Cubism Foundation, Mrs. Beáta Majdišová, presented her contribution within the framework of the "Cultural Heritage and Operational Programme" workshop on May 9, 2007. Minister of Culture Václav Jehlička Visited the Bauer Villa

On April 5, 2007, the Bauer Villa welcomed honourable guests. The cubist villa was visited by the Minister of Culture, Mgr. Václav Jehlička, within the framework of his working visit to the Central Bohemian Region.
The minister was accompanied by the vice-chairman of the Senate, MUDr. Jan Rakušan and Civil Democratic Party MP for the Central Bohemian Region, Mgr. Ondřej Plašil, along with Ing. Aleš Grof, Manager of Structural Funds Department of the Czech Ministry of Culture. The meeting was also attended by the representatives of the City Council of Kolín headed by the Mayor, Mr. Jiří Buřič.
The vice-chairman of the Senate, MUDr. Rakušan, and his colleague, Mgr. Plašil, have been continuously interested in the activities of the Czech Cubism Foundation associated with the renewal of the Bauer Villa. They have visited the villa in recent months and are aware of the difficulties associated with the works in progress as well as with raising financial funds for the project.
The Foundation chairwoman, Mrs. Beáta Majdišová, acquainted the visitors with the history of the Bauer Villa, the progress of the finishing stage of the reconstruction as well as with plans for the future. The minister expressed his delight at the reconstruction and at the fact that such a unique cultural monument has received a deserved attention. He inspected the interior of the villa with interest, adding some suggestions, and had a friendly talk with the Mayor of Libodřice, Mr. Jaroslav Kolář. Experience gained by the minister from the previous position of the Mayor of the city of Telč has enabled him to gain a realistic insight into the issues of cultural monuments care as well as municipal administration management. We believe that the opportunity to see the cubist villa, designed by architect Josef Gočár, was beneficial to all participants and that this meeting was not the last one.
